What is the Impact Emotionally and Physically of Athletics on our Elementary School Children?
Dr. Douglas Barba, An AASP-certified Sports Psychology Consultant, is going to present ideas, research and thoughts on issues such as: when is it a good time to introduce your child to sports, what is the difference between team sports and individual sports, is there a developmental impact of sports on our children and more.
Dr. Douglas Barba, is lead faculty for the Master of Arts in Performance Psychology, in the Department of Psychology, at National University. He holds a doctoral degree in sport and exercise psychology from the University of Florida and a master’s degree from the School of Human Behavior at United States International University.
This year we’ll be using Konstella, a very helpful new communication tool, for all our classroom and school-wide PTA communication. Konstella will make staying organized easier and help build a secure and private parent community here at Del Mar Hills. So when your Room Parent emails you an invitation in early September, please accept your invitation!
